Hear it from our people
I enjoy working with my varied portfolio of clients; from FCA regulated businesses to tech start-ups, there is a wide range of clients that give me greater awareness of how management accounting works. I think this is a huge benefit to us as trainees because of the experiences we get out of it. On top of this, the sheer variety of clients I work with really keeps me on my toes. Plus, the culture we have in the office is an added bonus because it provides a great work-hard play-hard environment.
I love working with a variety of clients, understanding their industry sector and sharing ideas from experiences with other businesses. It’s rewarding to see clients grow, both organically and through M&A, to help them achieve their greater goals.
The best bits of my job are coming up with better ways of doing things that can free-up time and resources for our clients and then developing my team so they have that same knowledge and skills base to do the same for other clients. I love a client who wants to work with us to get the reports and information that’s most meaningful to them, but equally if you just want to hit basic compliance requirements then great, let’s find the easiest way to work together and do that.
There are many aspects to my role at Ecovis that I really enjoy – the freedom and responsibility of my position, the people, culture and ethos of our firm, the location of our business hub right in the heart of London, the quality of our clients and our international network.
I love working at Ecovis because of the culture of the firm. My colleagues are great people, and the flexibility of the practice allows us to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
When asked what I enjoy about my role and working at Ecovis, my answer is undoubtedly ‘the people’. I love my job, who I work with and who I work for. I feel very lucky to work for a company like Ecovis and with the great people we have here. People always talk about the ‘culture’ of working life at Ecovis and how we have a unique approach to doing a brilliant job, whilst still managing to find time for each other…and for fun!
I love working in the creative industries; enabling storytellers, content creators and editors to focus on their business, whilst trusting me and the team to look after the audit and accounting compliance and supporting their journey. I help creatives answer the question “how do I know what I need to know, when I don’t know I need to know it?” and am there every step of the way.
I particularly enjoy working with a varied client portfolio – they keep me on my toes and I feel I’m learning and growing every day!
What I love about Ecovis is being part of a dynamic and nimble network with the opportunity to work closely with a wide range of committed individuals and friends from very different cultures. I am fortunate that my role within the network as Chairman of the Supervisory Board allows me to play a pivotal role in the strategic development of our network and witness its incredible progress over the last decade.
I love working with my team and colleagues and enjoy the culture and family feel that Ecovis has developed over the years.
Ecovis has been incredibly welcoming since I joined in September of 2021. Working with many talented and dedicated individuals has been great and everyone has offered guidance and help whenever I’ve requested it. The culture at Ecovis is definitely one of supporting one another and one of nurturing the more junior staff coming through so that everyone is growing and progressing in their careers. The staff benefits and team events are also great fun!
One of the main benefits of working at Ecovis is the opportunity to work with a wide variety of business types and sizes from an early stage. Gaining valuable exposure to a huge array of client senior management teams, I continue to be both challenged and rewarded by the steep learning curve.
I appreciate the importance of having a great team behind us and I work hard to attract, support and retain the best people. I love having the opportunity to represent the people who are at the heart and soul of our business, while ensuring everyone has purpose and personal growth.
There are two aspects I really enjoy about my role at Ecovis – helping to grow the business and helping to develop our staff. Many years of experience allow me to impart my cumulative knowledge to assist clients to avoid the mistakes clients have made in the past.
