Marcus Wykes

Hello, I’m Marcus. I joined Ecovis as a graduate in 2017 having spent a couple of gap years teaching English in Thailand. Now, as a qualified Chartered Account, I specialise in Audit and look after clients in a wide range of industries – from FCA, SPVs businesses to TV production companies and record labels to fibre optic companies to name a few. Gaining exposure to such a variety of sectors and having an overview of how they operate makes my job incredibly interesting.

I find it particularly rewarding when I can make recommendations to my clients that go beyond the scope of audit. When these ideas are implemented and the benefits are delivered – that’s even more satisfying.

My favourite hobbies?

Football. Watching, playing, rejoicing, commiserating…. that goes with the territory of being a big Tottenham fan!

A luxury item I’d take on a desert island?

A solar-powered music system – just can’t live without my music!

My first job?

A life guard. As a keen swimmer, I thought I’d get plenty of opportunities to dive in the water and save distressed swimmers. Sadly, the only emergency procedures I administered were applying sticky plasters. Very disappointing.

Hip hop and House music
