A bit about me

Hello, I’m Kelsey. I joined an apprenticeship straight out of 6th form and have been within audit since 2021. I really liked the idea of an apprenticeship as it allowed me to gain experience in the field immediately while gaining my qualifications. I’ve completed my AAT level 3 bookkeeping & AAT level 4 and I’m excited to move onto my ACA continuing to further my career.

I enjoy the opportunities audit provides such as being able to travel to different areas and constantly meet new people. It’s only been a short time since I joined Ecovis, but everyone is really friendly and there’s a lot of fun opportunities.

I really enjoy going to career events and giving talks and presentations about my apprenticeship path and my journey through audit. It’s really fun and rewarding being able to give people an insight into my career and present other alternative career routes that they wouldn’t have originally considered.

Personally speaking

  • If you could choose an alternative career what would it be?

Either a chef or a teacher. I love food and enjoy spending time trying different recipies but I also like the idea of being a teacher and helping the next generation work towards their futures.

  • What’s your favourite hobby?

My favourite hobbies are reading and swimming. I’ve also taken a few skiing and snowboarding lessons which I’m considering doing more of.

  • What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?

I once jumped off a waterfall in Jamaica which was really fun but I was too scared to let go of the rope and almost fell on the rocks. I would 1000% do it again though!

  • If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

I’d like to have teleportation, then I would be able to get a few extra hours sleep everyday and never be late to places!

  • As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a mad scientist! My parents bought me science kits and I really ejoyed doing different experiments. On of them exploded and stained the kitchen ceiling, my parents weren’t very happy!

  • Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I’m more of a cat person.

  • What languages do you know how to speak?

I only know how to speak English fluently but I can speak a few random words (like milk and orange) in Arabic!
