Katy Young

Hello, I’m Katy.

I joined Ecovis in 2022 as a junior trainee continuing my ACCA qualification and have since qualified and progressed to become a Supervisor within Financial Management Solutions team. During this time, I have worked with a diverse portfolio of clients, supporting them with statutory and management accounts, VAT compliance, payroll matters, corporation tax requirements and general business advisory services. My experience has allowed me to develop a strong technical grounding while also building trusted relationships with clients across a wide range of industries.

One of the things I enjoy most about working at Ecovis is the people. We have a supportive, collaborative team and a positive culture that encourages learning, development and helping one another succeed. What I also enjoy is the variety that each day brings. No two clients are the same, and I enjoy helping businesses navigate challenges and achieve their goals. Ecovis provides a supportive and collaborative environment where there are always opportunities to learn and develop.

I aim to provide clients with a reliable point of contact who understands both their compliance obligations and their wider business objectives. Whether I’m assisting with accounts preparation, VAT matters, payroll issues or day-to-day queries, I focus on delivering clear, practical advice and ensuring deadlines are met. I believe the value I bring comes from understanding each client’s individual circumstances and providing a proactive, responsive service they can trust.

Favourite hobbies

I enjoy baking, reading, going on walks, as well as going to the theatre and watching musicals.

Alternative career choice

If I had to choose an alternative career it would probably be something to do with medical statistics or primary education.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was younger I wanted to be an author, or an actress in EastEnders, until I realised I was much better at Maths than at English, and I’m not very good at acting!

I prefer tea over coffee, as I don’t like coffee.
