Jake Cook

Hello, I’m Jake.

I am an Audit Senior working with a diverse range of clients, with a particular focus on businesses within the media sector. I joined Ecovis in February 2024 to begin my ACA qualification, having previously achieved my AAT qualification while working at MHA.

One of the aspects I enjoy most about my role is the variety of clients and industries I work with, which provides continual opportunities to learn about different business models and sectors. Every client presents unique challenges, making the work both engaging and rewarding.

At Ecovis, I particularly value the collaborative culture and the opportunities for professional development. The support and knowledge-sharing across the firm have played an important role in helping me grow both technically and professionally throughout my training and career progression.

I have a particular interest in working with media clients due to the fast-paced and constantly evolving nature of the industry. It is fascinating to see how changes in technology, consumer behaviour and market trends influence strategic decision-making and shape the direction of these businesses.

• What would your alternative career choice be?

I would love to be sporting director at a premier league football club. I think it would be interesting to shape the direction of a club from that level.

• What’s the most exciting thing on your bucket list?

Hopefully to visit space (if technology allows it in my lifetime)
