Billy Iden

Hello, I’m Billy. I joined Ecovis as a summer intern whilst studying at the University of Portsmouth and started as a full-time accountant after graduating in September 2020. Working in the Outsourced Business Services team I help a variety of clients in different industries. My work mainly focuses on bookkeeping, preparing full sets of management accounts and cash flow forecasts. I also help prepare, review and submit VAT returns. I particularly enjoy producing management accounts and VAT returns.

I love working at Ecovis because of the culture of the firm. My colleagues are great people, and the flexibility of the practice allows us to achieve a healthy work-life balance.

Favourite hobbies?

On the weekends I play football for my Sunday league team and I follow my beloved West Ham as often as I can. I also (try) to play golf and see my friends as often as possible.

My favourite meal?

I don’t think you can beat a spicy curry!

What’s the most exciting thing on your bucket list?

I would love to go travelling around Asia, I loved my time in China when I was at school and I am definitely going to return.

If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?

I think it would be David Jason, having grown up on Only Fools and Horses I would have a ton of questions to ask him and I think he would be great company.

What languages do you know how to speak?

I am not fluent in any other languages, but I have GSCEs in Mandarin (A) and Spanish (B)
