Companies House filing fees increase

29 February 2024

Companies House has announced that some of their fees will be changing from 1 May 2024. The last change in fees was April 2016.

On May 1, 2024, Companies House will implement changes to some of its fees. The last fee adjustment occurred in April 2016.

Companies House calculates fees based on a ‘cost recovery’ model, determining charges according to service provision expenses. They emphasize that their fees are non-profit, aligning with their commitment to transparent cost recovery.

As the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency (ECCT) Bill progressed through Parliament, Companies House addressed concerns by stating that adjustments to the fee structure will secure sufficient funding. This will cover incurred costs and contribute to the expenses of new powers introduced in the ECCT Bill.
